A unique blend of a Social Enterprise and Think Tank—our social enterprise implements development programmes in rural Rajasthan, while our Think Tank captures real-time data to shape policy, research, and innovation for wider impact.
Our Mission To bridge developmental gaps in Rajasthan by implementing targeted, sustainable interventions that empower individuals and inform policy.
Rajasthan, India's largest state by land area, presents both significant challenges and opportunities
Our focus on Dholpur is driven by both its urgent development needs and its significant potential for impactful change. Situated near the Chambal Ghats along Rajasthan's eastern border, Dholpur is one of the most underserved regions in the state, requiring targeted, community-centered interventions.
A Social Impact Enterprise + Indigenous Think Tank model working across underserved communities in Rajasthan.
At Jagan Foundation, our work is anchored in three interconnected pillars that together drive inclusive and long-term development: Gender Equity, Education & Livelihoods, and Justice Reform. These pillars reflect our commitment to addressing root causes while enabling systemic transformation.
We believe that gender equality is fundamental to sustainable progress. Our initiatives under this pillar aim to empower women and girls through access to health education, financial inclusion, and community sensitisation. By addressing critical gaps in menstrual health awareness, reproductive well-being, and financial literacy, we foster autonomy and agency among women in rural and marginalised communities.
Access to quality education and relevant skills is a cornerstone of development. We work with youth from underserved backgrounds to improve employability and income potential through tailored skilling, digital fluency, and workplace readiness training. Our focus on practical learning ensures that young people, particularly in Aspirational Districts, are equipped for sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship.
Rehabilitation and reintegration are essential to a just society. Through structured interventions within the prison system, we promote legal literacy, mental health awareness, and life skills training. Our work with incarcerated individuals—especially women—seeks to humanize correctional environments, reduce recidivism, and support dignified re-entry into society.
